We Build. We Farm. We Feed.
At Johnston Farm & Building Centre, those six words say a lot about who we are. We are a locally owned Orillia store built to serve the people who build, grow, raise, repair and care for this community.
Whether you are planning a renovation, keeping a farm running, feeding your animals or tackling the next job on your list, our goal is simple: to make it easier to find what you need and get practical help along the way.
We Build.
Every project starts with a plan and the right materials. Our building centre supports homeowners, contractors and do-it-yourselfers with lumber, construction materials, tools, hardware and project essentials for jobs of all sizes.
From decks, fences and garages to barns, additions and home renovations, our team can help you explore dependable products from trusted building brands. We offer access to options for roofing, insulation, siding, decking, railings, windows, doors and more, bringing a wide range of building solutions together in one local store.
Planning a larger project? Bring us your plans. Our lumber estimating service can help turn them into a clear, itemized quote, while delivery is available throughout Simcoe County. As part of the Castle Building Centres network, we combine the buying power and product selection of a national group with the personal service of a local team.
We Farm.
Agriculture is not an afterthought here. It is part of our foundation.
We carry practical supplies for working farms, hobby farms, homesteads, barns, paddocks and rural properties. That includes fencing materials, livestock and animal-care products, bedding, poultry supplies, barn essentials, maple sugaring equipment, gardening products and seasonal necessities.
Our seasonal poultry-order program also makes it easier for local customers to add chickens, turkeys, ducks and other birds to their farms and homesteads. Whether you have years of experience or are raising animals for the first time, our team is here to help you find the products that fit your setup.
We understand that farm work does not wait. Equipment needs to run, animals need to be cared for and repairs need to be completed. That is why we focus on useful products, straightforward advice and service you can count on close to home.
We Feed.
Good care starts with good feed. We carry feed and supplies for livestock, poultry, pets and wild birds, with options for different animals, needs and seasons.
Our store is also home to Johnston Birdseed, with blends and individual ingredients made for the birds found in Ontario backyards. From cardinals, blue jays and finches to doves and other familiar visitors, customers can find options to keep feeders active throughout the year.
Choosing the right feed can feel complicated, especially when every animal has different needs. Our team can help you compare options, answer questions and make a confident choice for the animals in your care.
More Than Products on a Shelf
Sometimes the job requires more than a product. Johnston Farm & Building Centre also offers services designed to keep projects, properties and equipment moving.
Customers can visit us for propane refills, custom hydraulic hose assembly and repairs, lumber estimating and delivery, seasonal poultry orders and fencing materials. For customers who need professional fence installation, our connection with Johnston Fence Contracting brings more than 40 years of fencing experience to residential, agricultural and commercial projects.
It all comes back to being useful to the community we serve. We want to be the place where you can pick up materials for a weekend project, order supplies for the farm, find feed for your animals and talk to someone who understands what you are working on.
